This restaurant’s exterior really caught my eye as we strolled through the streets of old Quebec City. Its whimsy reminded me so much of all the shenanigans of Peter Rabbit.
If only we’d had time to have a meal at this restaurant then I could have seen if this truly was inspired by Beatrix Potter or it was simply my imagination running wild.

This very weathered wall in Tallinn, Estonia intrigued me immensely with its varying degrees of texture. At first glance this wall highlights years of neglect – yet at the same time it highlights what was once years of care.

These flowers were outside in the gardens of the Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibition in Seattle. It was the end of the day, the sun was setting and people were not wanting to stop whilst I took my happy snaps.
Consequently I wasn’t particularly happy with any of my photos. That was until I transferred one to my phone. Oh the joy of photo editing apps… they breathe new life into anything!
It may not have happened at the end of last year as many of us had hoped and dreamed, but it will happen… eventually.
That glass ceiling will be broken by women and equality will finally rain down upon females everywhere… eventually!
Even now, this image of abstract artwork on one of our visits to Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland still intrigues me. It’s almost as if one piece of this iron is keeping the mountain at bay whilst another piece is stretching to protect the church from it.
This small township was an hour’s drive from our home in Reyðarfjörður. It was one of those drives that always felt as if it was taking longer then it was due to the fact you had to drive down the steepest, twisty road into it.

The layers of snow on these rocks we saw on our train trip through the Rocky Mountains always intrigue me. It’s as if Mother Nature herself has used a piping bag to cover all the rocks!

Having found our position at the very front of the ship, we were determined to stand guard, watching intently at each and every aspect of the going through the locks whilst crossing the Panama Canal. We weren’t disappointed, it was AMAZING!
Over this summer vacation I’m taking trips of another kind. Of a Thursday I’m traveling down memory lane, reminiscing a little about all the traveling we’ve done to various parts of the world as a family!
When moving to East Iceland, knowing were going to be living in a small village, we decided to spend a few days in Reykjavik to see what shops there for future reference and to also play tourist. One thing you can’t miss no matter where you are is the city’s majestic church.
Once inside, as lovely as the interior of the church is, you can’t help but keep looking at the huge organ pipes at the front of the church. Whilst there we were fortunate enough to hear someone practicing at the organ. WOW!
